Benefits and disadvantages of a planned kitchen

According to the architect, the advantages of a planned kitchen are numerous. “In addition to being able to choose colors and finishes that will bring visual comfort to the owner, the planned kitchen is designed according to his routine”, she says.

“Through a planned kitchen, it is possible to meet all the customer’s needs, be it more space to store utensils, groceries or even a better area to cook for many people. In short, for each case, a different kitchen is designed”, adds Graziella.

But what about the downsides? Graziella says that it is very difficult to point out a disadvantage of the planned kitchen. “I believe the only thing is the fact that, as it is made for a certain location, it does not have mobility. That is, if you move house, you will not be able to take the kitchen,” she explains.

Graziella points out that the most popular brands of fitted kitchens are Todeschini, Dell Anno and Italínea, but this is a market that has grown in options every year.

Graziella explains that the big difference is that kitchens designed by architects and designers are designed exclusively for each client. Popular brands, on the other hand, are designed generically, to serve most homes.

Therefore, it is important for you to assess your needs and decide if you need customized solutions for your kitchen or if a more traditional model will suit the environment. Investing in a good designer or architect is especially suitable for those who want a different kitchen, which deviates a little from the standards of the most common kitchens found in popular brands.

Tips for choosing the planned kitchen design

The architect explains that there is currently an infinity of materials. “This leaves us well served when creating the project. We can mix natural and synthetic stones in a kitchen, different types of melamine with images of wood or even automotive paint in infinite colors (glossy or matte lacquer), leather handles or other materials in different formats”, she explains.

In this sense, Graziella gives some tips on what to consider when choosing a planned kitchen project:

• It is necessary to pay attention to the material used, always demand MDF.
• Furniture needs to have a good structure too.
• It is necessary to see if the finish is well done, without cutouts and rivets.
• It is worth paying attention to the assembly time and organization of the kitchen and always respecting the project and the structural conditions that the space that will receive the kitchen offers.
• It is always necessary to respect beams, pillars, hydraulic pipes and electrical points when planning any environment.
