Negativity bias –

You always find yourself wondering what could happen to bad? Can you imagine the worst case scenario? Today I will explain to you why our brain has this habit, which is called negativity bias!

The first point is to understand that things always have different sides! An object, for example, if I shine it, I can see it clearly and all the details, if I look against the light, it becomes a big blur of shadow. We’re looking at the same thing, but we can choose whichever angle we prefer!

O negativity bias is what makes your brain tend to focus on the bad, to look for problems, to cling to that single bad news, even on a day where several fantastic things happened. Knowing this brings us awareness, and through it we can take small actions to train our brain to focus on what is good, what works, what is beautiful! (Hey, I’m not saying to pretend that everything is fine and that bad things don’t happen!!!! Come read this text hereabout toxic positivity x real positivity, and I’ll tell you more about it).

For every bad thought, we need at least 3 good ones, that’s why there is the practice of gratitude journalwhich goes far beyond “just being grateful”, which is already something incredible in our lives, but it is also a way to combat this negativity.

When we focus our attention on what went wrong, our field of vision and our ability to solve problems decreases, it’s as if our perspective reduces and leaves us limited, our focus is only on the obstacle and not on the solution, that’s all there is to it. another very plausible reason to always seek to broaden our point of view, try to see beyond the obvious, look for new solutions and implement different habits in our lives!

Our attention directs our conscience! So tell me, where are you putting your attention?? What’s wrong or the solutions? What would it be like to lead a life where you try to be 1% better every day and living closer to your well-being? Yes, this is super possible! But it is necessary to reprogram the brain for this and that requires constancy and great determination!

Focus on the solutions in your life, not the problems! Focus on your self-knowledge and not on limiting beliefs! Focus on your growth and development and not on what you stopped doing!

Let’s go on this journey together, seeking to look at the light side of the glass and, thus, shaping our brain so that it can get out of the negativity bias and go to the positivity spiral!
