Have you ever stopped wearing a shorter skirt or shorts, considering that these pieces would leave those undesirable cellulite on display?!
Know that you are not the only one! After all, gynoid lipodystrophy – popularly known as cellulite – affects more than 90% of women and is one of the main reasons that make them look for products and treatments that can help fight or at least alleviate these signs on the skin.
And, among the best-known methods to treat the problem, Manthus stands out, which, in addition to promising cellulite improvement, works to reduce the body’s fat layer.
It is not by chance that the treatment is the most successful, including among the famous. Actresses like Juliana Alvez, Isis Valverde, Cissa Guimarães and Paola Oliveira have already declared to the press that they are fans of the technique.
However, not all women have the privilege of performing Manthus sessions and enjoying the aesthetic benefits it offers. But, it is worth informing yourself below about the technique and, if interest arises, making an evaluation at a trusted clinic to adhere to the treatment!
What is Manthus?
Ingrid Peres, dermatofunctional physiotherapist and manager of the scientific area at Onodera Estética, highlights that the Manthus is a computerized equipment, extremely accurate and versatile, made up of ultrasound and current generators. “It offers an aesthetic treatment capable of reducing cellulite and localized fat, in addition to helping with blood circulation and in the postoperative period”, she says.
The dermatofunctional physiotherapist explains that Manthus works with the so-called combined therapies, consisting of a powerful ultrasound emitter, associated with a generator of stereodynamic electrical stimuli, as well as polarized currents with great penetration.
“The stereodynamic currents accelerate the lymphatic system, decreasing the fat cell and the toxins that were expelled with the ultrasound. The polarized currents allow the device to introduce specific active principles for the reduction of localized fat, cellulite and sagging skin”, highlights Ingrid Peres.
Number of sessions
According to physical therapist Ingrid, the number of sessions – each with 30 minutes – is indicated according to the assessment of a consultant and should focus on the main problem presented. “Generally, a minimum of 10 sessions is suggested, which are adjusted according to the evolution of the treatment”, she says.
The professional also adds that the result begins to be presented, in general, from the fifth session.
The value of each session is around 100 to 115 reais, according to the total number of sessions that will be done by the patient, as Ingrid explains. However, it is worth noting that the values may vary according to the city/place where the treatment will be carried out. Check out a report on Manthus that shows a treatment session:
The opinion of those who have done it
Ana de Lima, 27, a dentist, says that she considers herself thin, but, like most women, she is uncomfortable with some regions of her body, where she accumulates that “fat that is difficult to get off”. “I went to an aesthetic clinic and had an evaluation, because I still had no idea what method I would like to do. I explained everything that was bothering me and the most suitable treatment was Manthus”, she reports.
Ana says that she also saw “before and after” photos of some patients at the clinic and was impressed with the results. “One doubt I had was about the pain. But I didn’t feel anything too much, just a tingling, as if it were a ‘little shock’. They also explained to me that the power of the device is adjusted depending on the sensitivity of each person”, she adds.
“I did 10 sessions and I really felt that my jeans started to ‘fit’ me better and my cellulite is no longer so apparent. I approved the result and recommend the treatment to anyone who asks me”, concludes Ana.
Contraindications
Ingrid Peres explains that pregnant women, people with hypertension, diabetes, open wounds, tumor processes and vascular changes (thrombosis, ischemic tissue) cannot adhere to the technique.
The others, however, interested in reducing localized fat, treating cellulite and sagging skin, have good reasons to seek treatment!
It is worth noting that, like any aesthetic procedure, patient collaboration is essential. Manthus sessions should be associated with a healthy diet, consumption of plenty of water and physical activity. After all, these factors are intrinsically linked and are the right path for women who seek a more beautiful skin and body.
