In Brazil we have a large portion of people devoted to a charming and motherly orixá: Iemanjá, the queen of the sea and lady of the oceans! She is the mother of all orixás. Yemanjá is the one who controls the tides. It protects marine life. She is absolute ruler of homes, protector of the family. Yemanja can be invoked to help during childbirth, as she is the goddess of fertility. She is the protector of babies and pregnant women, she is the eternal mother. Iemanjá is the patroness of loves, she is very requested in cases of conflicting passions, everything can be achieved if she consents. Iemanjá fascinates men, with her incomparable beauty, her long hair, delicate features, sculptural and very vain body.

Sympathy to get a grace from Yemanjá
On Iemanjá’s day, go to a beach and light a white candle on a white saucer. Place some flowers next to the saucer and put 3 drops of your favorite perfume on the flowers and three drops on the saucer. Offer everything to Iemanjá, asking her to help you achieve what you want, then pray an Our Father and a Hail Mary. When you get the grace, return to the place and pray again, this time in thanksgiving.
Spell to make money
This sympathy must be done on December 8th, the day of Iemanjá. Take a dollar bill, put it in your right hand and head to the sea. Enter the water and dip the note in the waves asking: “Iemanjá, lady of the waters and queen of the sea, make this money multiply, just as the little fish in your sacred kingdom multiply”. Repeat these words and bathe the note for six more days in a row. Once that’s done, let them dry well and keep them in your purse or wallet.
Spell to get lucky in business
Take a white crockery bowl. Write down everything you want for your business and put it at the bottom of the bowl. Put honey on top of the paper. Fill the bowl with water and 8 white flowers. Store for 8 days and then ship in a green.
Sympathy to increase love
Write his full name on a blank piece of paper and put it in a new can of yeast. Bury the can in the back of your house, saying, “As the yeast grows, it makes it grow, I want (say the name)’s love to grow for me, to grow even more and my love for him to grow too.” Do this on the first day of the New Moon. If you don’t have a yard, you can use a plant pot.
Sympathy to have money all year
Take to the beach seven white roses, seven coins of the same value, lavender perfume and a champagne. Pray to Iemanjá and to the orixás who have strength in the sea. Count seven waves and throw the flowers into the sea. Then pour the champagne and offer it to the orixás. Wash the coins with the perfume and place them in your right hand. Dip your hand in water and ask for financial protection. Let the sea take six coins and keep one, which must be kept as an amulet during the year.
Prayer for Yemanja to protect and help
Oh! Iemanjá, mermaid of the sea. Sweet song, lull the afflicted. Mother of the world, have mercy on us. Blessed are the blessings that come from your Kingdom. My heart and soul are open to receive Iemanjá’s blessings. Dear little mother, take all impurity, all negativity, all spell, all brokenness, all bad magic (ask Yemanjá to remove all evil) from my aura to the depths of the sacred sea, from where they will no longer have power over me. Mother who protects, who sustains, who takes away all pain. Mother of the Orixás, a mother who takes care of and watches over her children, and her children’s children. Yemanja, your light guides my thoughts. May your waters wash my head, pour your protection over me, instilling in my heart the respect and veneration due to the force of nature that you symbolize. Allow your phalanges to protect and support me, doing so with all humanity, our sister.
Do this for us, my dear little mother.
Hail Yemanja!
