Luisa Mell denounces: they are sacrificing animals by shooting in Brumadinho

The defender of animals Luisa Mell went to Brumadinho, a town in Minas Gerais that was hit by the collapse of a tailings dam belonging to the mining company Vale last Friday (25th), to volunteer to rescue the animals affected by the tragedy. This Tuesday (29), Luisa made a complaint through the Instagramsaying that they did not allow her to board the rescue helicopters, because Federal Police agents would be sacrificing the animals that are trapped in the mud by shooting.

In the post, Luisa says that “the animals are paying for Vale’s crime”. The allegation is corroborated by a report by Estadão Escolha, which reports: “uAn agent armed with a rifle was aiming, from inside the helicopter, at places where he could see animals in the mud. And he would shoot ”.

Luisa Mell defends the rescue of animals that are stranded, and, in the case of the need to sacrifice them, that it be done in a dignified way. In a video posted on Instagram, she says: “Look at the rubbish, look at the barbarity, what an atrocity and worst of all, I want to know if the CRMV (Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine) authorized this joke, because there are a lot of veterinarians here and there are other dignified ways to sacrifice animals and this is not one of them”.
