Learn the prayer of the divorced and separated

It is always painful for everyone to end a love relationship, and even more painful when the couple was married or lived together for a long time. No divorce or separation is an easy time to pass. As much as the people involved have in common agreement opted for separation, it is painful.

There are a thousand sensations and thoughts that go through each part’s head: pain, relief, fear, frustration, loneliness, waste of time, disillusionment, etc. But what the separated fear most is what the future holds now for their heart and love relationships.

Ivan Lins described the feeling of separation well in the song Start Again:

Well, starting over is the only way for the separated. It’s scary, but it’s possible, thank God, to start over and be happy. If it didn’t work out once, it doesn’t mean it won’t work out with the next one or the next crush.

Does it hurt to separate? The cure for this is to meet someone again, be happy, and gather your toothbrushes, because we weren’t born to live alone. Not to mention that loving is good for health, head, skin and heart.

Prayer for the Divorced and Separated

Lord my God, it is written in your Word that the Lord grants to all who want and have faith a new life and a new opportunity.

Lord God, I come to You at this moment to ask with all faith in the name of Jesus that You remove from my heart and from my life all loneliness, all feelings of worthlessness, rejection, fear and insecurity.

Deliver me Lord from falling into emotional traps, from wrong feelings for wrong people.

Lord, grant me your presence in every moment of my life, even when I feel alone, that I may receive the blessing of being a happy, fulfilled person, full of faith and optimism.

Lord, grant me a second chance to be happy in my love life.

In the name of Jesus, my only Lord and Savior.
