What are the principles of Reiki?

Known among reikians, but forgotten in our daily lives, the principles of Reiki bring us high precepts to be followed and refer to a change in our soul, step by step, but definitive.

Each of the principles is a simple sentence that we can choose to work with. It could be for a day, for a few days or for an indefinite period, until the negative aspect that we have within us is modified and transformed into a positive one.

What are Reiki principles?

Practicing these principles daily is much more than giving or receiving an energization. This is experiencing Reiki, it is practicing good living.

Just for today, don’t get angry

When we work on this principle, we learn to deal with the hurts, resentments and anger that lodge in us and poison our being. When we are surrendered to the excesses and whims of the ego and its disputes, we are almost shaken. By avoiding irritation, we free ourselves from our shadows, fear and accept ourselves and others.

This principle teaches how to break ties with the concepts of pain and anguish. Slowly, we can give the right time for each person and for each situation we need to face in life. Thus, it becomes possible to break away from anxiety and, little by little, relinquish control (of situations, others and ourselves).

This statement reminds us of respect for each person’s life and experience. With it, we work on our pretension, our pride, and put ourselves in the proper place of life’s apprentices.
