How training can make your skin more (or less) beautiful –

Regardless of how sensitive your skin is, some precautions must be taken if you are active. We separate some tips on how to keep your skin beautiful even working out regularly:

1. Healthy post-workout skin starts before you step off the treadmill. Sweat can be a great way to detoxify your skin, but touching the same machines and equipment day after day like a card-carrying gymnast is a great way for bacteria to get on your skin. Do your best not to touch your face during your workout!

two. The biggest mistake is being too aggressive with your skin. Resist the urge to rub it on your hands, towel or paper, even if spin class left you soaking wet! Too much exfoliation can dehydrate the skin, lead to eczema or aggravate acne. Instead, clean your skin gently.

3. As much as it may seem, sweat isn’t exactly the moisture your skin needs. After washing your face, you still need to abuse the moisturizer to replace the water lost during training!

4. If you’ve just finished an activity that raises your heart rate and makes you sweat a lot, don’t forget your water bottle as soon as you’re done. As your body loses much more moisture in heated environments, you’ll need to keep hydrating post-workout for your skin to recover.

5. Are you going to run home? Killed it! But don’t forget to apply sunscreen before you hit the sidewalk and not just on your face!

6. Don’t forget the body. Taking too long to clean your body parts can lead to clogged pores, so if feasible, carry a powerful exfoliating soap in your gym bag (or shower as soon as you get home!).
