Activated charcoal is a special variation of charcoal. It is produced when some types of wood, cork or coconut shells are burned at high temperatures (from 800 to 1000 degrees Celsius) and with a low concentration of oxygen.

Where do carnations come from?

Blackheads are very common black dots on the skin of people of all ages, although they are more common from puberty to early adulthood.

The formation of blackheads begins when a pore in our skin is clogged, resulting in the accumulation of fat inside the sebaceous follicle, the channel where the hair root and sebaceous glands are located.

In the case of larger pores, the surface of the accumulated fat has extensive contact with the oxygen in the air and ends up undergoing an oxidation process and becoming darker. This type of blackhead is called an open blackhead.

On the other hand, when the pore is small, the fat has less contact with the air, decreasing oxidation. What can happen in this case is the proliferation of bacteria, forming a white spot known as a closed blackhead that can evolve into a pimple.

Blackheads are one-off signs that do not indicate a more serious illness. However, if you notice an increase in the number of these dots, look for a dermatologist so that he can indicate the most appropriate treatment for you.
