Before changing sockets and switches, make sure they don’t have bad contact. Turn off the house main switch, disconnect the wires and connect them again. Turn power back on and test.

Material

🇧🇷 Phillips screwdriver
🇧🇷 Screwdrivers of different sizes
🇧🇷 New switch or socket

Step by step

1. As should be done in all electrical services, turn off the main switch
power.

2. Open the switch plate screws using the Phillips screwdriver.
Remove it carefully so as not to peel or scratch the paint on the wall.

3. Loosen the two screws inside the part with the help of a wrench
of slit. Pull the switch out of the hole in the wall and turn it to
reach the wires.

of the new switch.

6. Screw the inside of the socket with the screwdriver and the outside
with the Phillips screwdriver.

No shocks
According to architect Gustavo Curcio, care must be taken not to get shocked when touching the electrical network. “First of all, turn off the main switch. She usually stays on the power board, at the entrance to the house, ”he recommends. Does she still not feel safe? Buy a voltage test. It’s a little device that checks if the power is really off and shows if the socket voltage is 110 or 220 W. You can find it in construction material stores.
