hair therapy treatments

There are many methods indicated by trichologists that bring satisfactory results. Check out the main ones and learn how it works:

  • Hair detox: Detox is made with deep cleaning products that cleanse, exfoliate and regenerate the scalp. Usually, the procedure is the first step for other treatments and can be done on all types of hair, especially in cases of flaking and excess oil.
  • Aromatherapy: is a method that uses essential and vegetable oils to help cure some pathologies in the scalp and hair. Some types of oils stimulate blood circulation, fight hair loss, have fungicidal, anti-inflammatory, healing, bactericidal action, among other benefits.
  • Clay therapy: the treatment is based on clay, a component that detoxifies and balances the pH of the scalp, as well as replenishing minerals that are missing in the region. This treatment is indicated when the scalp is intoxicated, with excess chemicals or very greasy.
  • High frequency: this technique is performed with a device that produces an electromagnetic field at the treatment site. It activates blood circulation, strengthens the hair follicle, rebuilds the hair cuticle and fights damage caused by excess chemicals in the hair. The result is very satisfactory in patients with intense dandruff and alopecia due to excess oil.
  • Hair massage: this complementary method, in addition to relieving everyday stress and tensions, activates blood circulation in the scalp, which facilitates the transport of nutrients to the hair. The technique contributes to the natural growth of hair and can reduce hair loss. There are four types: muscle, circulatory, lymphatic and nervous system massage, performed on the back of the neck, scalp and temples.
  • Microneedling: is a procedure performed on the scalp with a roller (needle rollers) or pen-shaped devices, using anesthetic ointment (depending on the patient’s sensitivity). This treatment is indicated to treat baldness and thinning of the hair follicle.

Before undergoing any procedure, it is important to consult a specialist trichologist. Only this professional can diagnose and indicate the best treatment.

How much does hair therapy cost?

The value varies according to the technique chosen by the trichologist. Methods that use devices (high frequency, for example) can cost from R$150 to R$300. On the other hand, manual techniques, the use of cosmetics and cosmeceuticals cost between R$80 and R$100. However, there are cases where the techniques are combined and the value can be greater.
