God please give me strength on the days when I feel like I can’t go on anymore

Lately, I feel like I’m running out of fuel. I feel empty; even getting out of bed each morning has been a sacrifice.

Sometimes I wonder if this suffering will ever end. I’ve been through all the obstacles that have come my way, but I feel so tired. After every battle I won, there was another one waiting around the corner.

They say that God gives the hardest battles to the strongest soldiers, but God, you must have a lot of faith in me, because sometimes I don’t even know how to go on. Sometimes I just want to give up and let life go its own way.

I’m not asking the Lord to make my trials go away, because I know they make me more resilient. I’m not asking the Lord to make the pain go away, because I know it makes me stronger. I’m not asking you to make my life easier, because I know the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.

I just ask the Lord to give me strength because lately I’ve been feeling so weak—I’m exhausted and not sure how much more I can take.

There are days when I feel like I can’t go on. Everything has seemed too much for me and I know I don’t have the strength to overcome it alone.

There are things happening around me that I can’t understand. Some of these things make me feel helpless and lost. I’m in crisis and I need a helping hand to keep me from sinking further into this quicksand.

Dear God, I know You are working in me to make me the man I am meant to be, but I ask that you please give me strength on the days when I feel like I can’t go on anymore.

I know that I can call you at any time of the day and that the Lord will hear me. So I ask you to please protect my mind from the storms that roam inside my soul.

My heart is troubled, but I fully trust that the Lord will give me the strength I need for the next few days.

Father, I come to You for strength—strength for my body to stay strong, strength for my mind to stay sane, and strength for my soul to stay alive. Please give me the strength I need today so I can see another one tomorrow.
