When we feel that our hair is heavy and in need of that power cleaning, it’s time to turn to anti-residue shampoos, which wash the hair and scalp deeply.

The problem is that, along with dirt, pollution and excess oil, these shampoos also end up taking away the natural hydration of our strands, making the hair all dry and armed.

How to prepare your homemade anti-residue shampoo

This recipe is a tip from youtuber Julia Doorman. You will need a clear shampoo (which acts as the vehicle for our mixture), baking soda (deep cleaning agent), thermal water (hydration and shine) and saline solution (hydration and fighting frizz). Write down the quantities:

• 300 ml of transparent shampoo;
• 1 tablespoon of baking soda;
• 1 tablespoon of thermal water suitable for hair;
• 1 tablespoon of saline solution.

After separating all the ingredients, just follow the step by step according to the tips of the youtuber hair care specialist:

1. Put 300 ml of clear shampoo in a container

2. Add the tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda

3. Add the thermal water

4. Add saline

5. Mix everything until all the ingredients dissolve

6. Apply to the hair and wash them by massaging the scalp

The ideal is to use this anti-residue shampoo every 15 days or once a month. It should not be used in every wash because, as its pH is very high, it can end up drying out your hair by removing all the natural oils.

For an even better result, wash your hair with this shampoo before doing a deep hydration or hair reconstruction, as it will leave the cuticles open and ready to receive the products. The tip is to always use this shampoo (and any other anti-residue shampoo) in moderation.
