In theory, anyone can do it, but they need to check that they are in good health and that they do not have systemic contraindications”, says Cardoso.

• Patient with inappropriate health status: as Cardoso explained, anyone who wants to do facial harmonization needs to be in good health. That’s why it’s important to go through a consultation and carry out the exams recommended by a qualified professional;
• Search for definitive results: if the patient wants a definitive change in some region of the face, such as the nose, the ideal would be to opt for a rhinoplasty, since the harmonization offers temporary results;
• Pregnant and lactating: facial harmonization is contraindicated for women who are pregnant or are still breastfeeding;
• People with autoimmune diseases: the procedure is also contraindicated for patients with autoimmune diseases or who take immunosuppressants.

Local infections, generalized disorder of neuromuscular activity, immunization to butolin toxin and allergic reactions are also contraindicating factors. It is important to emphasize that, to ensure the best results, the procedure must be performed by a qualified professional: dentists, dermatologists or plastic surgeons.
