Diet for two: the menu of the fit couple from the blog Frango com Batata doce –

It’s not easy to follow a balanced menu when there’s a cat on the other side of the table who loves cheeseburgers, pasta and sweets. Calm down, you don’t have to end the relationship. Instead, invite them to try new flavors (and smaller, more frequent servings) with you. That’s how Rodrigo and Beta got closer. To escape the options of unhealthy restaurants preferred by friends and diversify the menu without going out of line, the couple started to test creative recipes with more natural ingredients.

It was such a success that together they created a space on the internet – the Frango com Batata Doce blog – to share the step-by-step of the dishes with the crowd. When they realized, the page had already conquered so many people that they also started to write about physical activity, travel, technology, aesthetics and health. In three years, the duo gained 366k followers on Instagram and over 351k subscribers on their YouTube channel. Today, the lovers live in São Paulo and rely on the help of a team of specialists – nutritionists, physical educator, plastic surgeon, dentist, psychologist, dermatologist… – to ensure a good foundation in the posts. All of this with a light and humorous language, a striking feature of the couple.

For them, it is important to maintain a routine without spawn, but with some essential care. “On a daily basis, we do not eat any type of sugar, white flour or frying, we try to drink plenty of water (about 5 liters a day) and not skip meals or go too long without eating”, says Beta. When putting together the menu, they leave the amount of calories in the background to focus on the diversity of nutrients. “The body has already realized that healthy foods are the ones that guarantee true disposition. But of course, on special occasions, you can release some nonsense that you want”, explains Rodrigo. Already on the supermarket list, lean proteins (such as chicken, tilapia and duckling), complex carbohydrates (sweet potatoes, brown rice, cassava), vegetables and peanut butter.

Below is an example of the couple’s five-day menu, which was developed by nutritionist Isabella Correia, from Rio de Janeiro, especially for those who work out frequently (Beta and Rodrigo face weight training four to five times a week and still save some time each day for aerobics).
