Colors: the power of beige tones

The beige tones arrive renewed, but still convey a sense of security and comfort. They are neither hot nor cold. They are light. The use of colors in home decor informs, enlivens, reassures and even changes a person’s appearance.

The beige harmonizes. And, precisely for this reason, it is a tonality that is called when the intention is not to cause an impact, to calm down, to acquiesce. “In the 1970s, it was often used on walls and floors to contrast with the red and blue of chairs and refrigerators”, recalls chemist and color designer Marcos Luiz Quindici. He adds that the color is a good choice for the floor, as it always gives a feeling of purity. It invites you to take off your shoes before stepping on the carpet, for example – not only to keep it clean, but also to remove any toxins.

Each color, of course, has its function when composing the decoration of an environment. Even if it means not interfering with anything. It’s not little. A color like sand, straw and beige, all very similar, ends up being fundamental when you have other pulsating tones nearby. Democrats, neutrals accept what comes. The famous phrase “goes with everything” seems to have been inspired by a moment of deep contemplation of these tones so frictionless.
