Chris Flores and Bertolazzi give tips for a perfect wedding

Planning – and putting into practice – the wedding of your dreams is the desire of many people. But imagine thinking about all the details – dress, cake, decor, buffet – in just one week? It seems impossible, but the duo at the head of the SBT program Wedding FactoryChris Flores and Carlos Bertolazzi, and a whole team of experts are taking this task to heart.

In a conversation with CLAUDIA’s Gastronomy editor, Beatriz Koch, the journalist and the chef give some tips not only on the various components of a weddingbut also for you to plan well, both with the budget and with the rush of preparations.

Pay attention to the budget

“Bride and groom have no limit to dream. Whoever is organizing the wedding thinks about it. If you have a madness, try to realize it. It just needs to fit within the budget,” said Chris. “The country wedding bride, for example, wanted a mechanical bull, but she couldn’t afford everything. If you want to accomplish something way beyond your budget, no problem. You spend more on the dream and save on the rest”, commented Carlos, who added: “if you want to do something crazy, do it well.”

The duo recommends, if the bride and groom are financially able, hiring a wedding planner🇧🇷 The reason is simple: this person is a specialist in this type of party, knows how to help the couple save money, knows many products and services and knows where to find the best quality for a fair price. “They will ask you how much money you have and how much you can spend. From there, she divides the opportunities”, said Chris.

the guest list

Another very important point brought up by the presenters was the issue of guests. They recommend, after establishing a budget for the ceremonies, making a list with the names of the people the bride and groom would like to invite. That way, you’ll know how much you’re going to spend, how many people you want at the wedding, and how many you can invite. Chris and Carlos also point out that “the marriage is yours. You invite who you want, not who your family wants. You can’t invite everyone we know in our life either.🇧🇷

The dress

With respect to wedding dress, something much appreciated by most women, the tips are very straightforward and simple. “If you’re going to have one made and keep it, make one that you can wear afterwards or transform during the party,” Chris recommended. Both also stressed that, if you are not attached, there is no problem with renting a dress first or renting a dress that has been worn more times. “There are lots of cool options. You have to walk around, go to the stores, try it on. All without laziness”, said the journalist. The duo also suggested that the search begin at least a year in advance so that the bride can decide calmly.

A caveat made by them was due to the short models. Currently, there is no longer so much rigor regarding the length of the dress, however, they recommend an overskirt for the religious cerimony🇧🇷 “In church, for example, an environment that has some restrictions, it’s cool to use this accessory out of respect”, added Chris.

They even played with the superstition of stylist Lucas Anderi, who believes that the bride needs to getting married in a veil because this is a protective mantle against the “evil eye”🇧🇷

the buffet

“In principle, there is no rule about what to have or not”, said the chef, who brought up an important point about a favorite of buffets. The “fillet mignon dictatorship”, as he comically called it, is something that needs to end – “first because this type of meat can be overcooked quickly and second because it is an expensive cut”. Carlos suggested other options, like the breast, for example, which is great when roasted and doesn’t go past the point in the rechauds🇧🇷

An economical, relaxed and interesting solution is the tasting menu service🇧🇷 “It’s popular to make individual mini portions”, suggested Carlos. The waiters pass the options on the tables and serve the guests who want to try them. “That way, people try a little bit of everything,” he added.

In addition, it is also important to take into account not only the couple’s personal taste, but also to think that there are several guests with different tastes. You can’t not have rice at the party, for example – only if it’s something more focused on snacks. “If it’s a cultural or religious restriction, then that’s fine”, they comment.

The decoration

🇧🇷The decoration is what gives the face of what you want to spend with your wedding“, said Chris, who added: ” someone will always talk, so don’t worry. Let those who think it’s bad be gone. You were happy. That’s what matters”. For these reasons, the presenters believe that a themed wedding can be cool. If it’s something the couple likes and wants, it can be fun and different.
