Bruna Marquezine tells details of her routine to maintain her body –

Does anyone remember Bruna Marquezine, as a child, doing commercials with the presenter Xuxa or participating in children’s programs, such as the extinct Gente Inocente, at the time presented by actor Márcio Garcia? Or her debut as an actress in the cast of the telenovela Mulheres Apaixonadas in 2003? Anyone who had the pleasure of following this 18-year-old hottie’s career witnessed her transition from girl to woman. And what a woman! At 1.71 meters tall and weighing 51 kilos, Bruna is getting prettier every day. Recently, the actress has also become more aware of the importance of taking care of her own health and fitness. “I was feeling a little left out. I didn’t pay much attention to my diet and ate a lot of junk food without thinking it through”, she assumes. “Now, I decided to get in line and became lighter. I am feeling much better since I started training and before I eat I think if that is good or bad, ”she says.

Owner of very Brazilian shapes, the actress recalled that she kept some healthy menus at home and began to worry about the quality of food. Thus, she drastically reduced temptations, including french fries and excess milk chocolate. “I have an easy body type to gain measurements and I found that I don’t want to have to make up for lost time later on when it gets harder to lose weight,” she says.

Bruna’s routine starts early, as does food care. “I’ve never been one to feel hungry as soon as I wake up, but, as I record a lot during the day, I learned to ensure energy and not fall out of my mouth at lunch”, she says. In this meal, she includes one or two scrambled eggs, papaya with a tablespoon of chia or golden linseed flour, a glass of green juice or some seasonal fruit. “The main thing was to eliminate the bread, which only bakes”, she believes. She created some variations so as not to get bored. She loves, for example, covering tapioca with cottage cheese or unsweetened fruit jelly on Sunday mornings. “I also go with tapioca before training. It is gluten-free and sustains well.”

When she wakes up very late, she orders a green juice with banana and coconut water at the cafeteria. As a snack, go with a pear and six toasted almonds. In her purse, she carries a bag of goji berries and raisins to stave off hunger. “I discovered that, in addition to having a lot of vitamin C, this little antioxidant fruit protects the skin from the sun and rejuvenates it.” At lunchtime, the actress adopted a new habit: eating salad before the main course. “I didn’t like vegetables that much, but I started to find everything tastier after I did a week of detox diet. I received a kit every day with complete meals. Very tasty dishes came. In just one month of eating right, I dried up and felt more energetic”, she says. The actress also decided to change rice and beans for other types of carbohydrates, such as sweet potatoes. Since she’s not a big fan of fish, she kept chicken and red meat on the menu. On the day of the interview, she ate a small leafy green salad, then a lean grilled beef fillet, a tablespoon of creamed corn, grated carrots and hearts of palm, as well as a thin slice of eggplant pie. To go with it, she swapped soda for unsweetened grape juice.

As no one is made of iron, in the afternoon Bruna feels more in need of a snack. For those hours, she discovered creative outlets. One of them is Time4’s whey protein popsicle with chocolate flavor. Each unit of ice cream has only 68 calories. “It makes you feel quenched and deceiving the desire to eat sweets”, she says. She also learned how to make protein gelatin at home. “Just mix a box of sugar-free gelatin with three measures of whey protein and the indicated amount of water. Those who want can add finely chopped fruits, such as strawberries and blueberries. It’s delicious!”, she suggests. The tricks don’t stop there: the actress keeps a stock of various types of bars and light chocolates at home, which contain collagen and fiber. In the fridge, she leaves sheep’s milk yogurt to ensure the amount of calcium needed. “If I don’t have tasty things to look out for, I’ll end up falling for high-calorie snacks. Even more so at Projac, which has many snack bars with snacks. Looking hard, we find great substitutes.”

Without making a soft body!

Bruna never liked going to the gym until her co-star Giovanna Antonelli convinced her to get to know CrossFit. “I’m loving it! It mixes challenge, overcoming difficulties and doesn’t have the boredom of a routine with the same exercises”, she says. “Despite being very young, Bruna arrived at the gym completely out of shape”, says Marcos Viana, one of her CrossFit instructors at the CFP9 academy in Rio de Janeiro. “In the first training session, she needed to warm up by running 500 meters, but halfway through, she had to stop because she couldn’t do it anymore. Now, two months later, Bruna runs 4 kilometers in a training session and still does 100 repetitions of sit-ups without yellowing.”

At CrossFit, exercises are performed almost without a break, as intensity is one of the main goals of the method. The program, which changes every day, focuses first on movement mechanics (doing the exercise correctly), then consistency (with rhythm) and finally intensity (at capacity or with load). According to the professor, the movements involve greater difficulty and muscular demand than those required by isolated bodybuilding exercises. Thanks to so much dedication, the actress now has a more defined abdomen and firm thighs. “Around here, it is difficult for someone to surpass Giovanna. But Bruna, for sure, is trying to steal her position”, praises Viana.
