According to nutrologist Sandro Ferraz (@drsandroferrazoficial), “rice and beans are a source of fiber, carbohydrates and protein. And it’s low in fat. However, it is important not to overdo the amounts. The ideal is to eat 3 tablespoons of rice and a shallow shell of beans”, he highlights.

People with diabetes also benefit. “The combination is low on the glycemic index. Also, it helps with bodybuilding as it is a good source of lean protein. And they are essential for the formation of bigger and stronger muscles”, emphasizes the doctor.
