You have straight, chemical-free hair and everyone says it’s super easy keep your hair healthy. This may even seem true, however, your habits can directly interfere with your hair’s health – even if it’s more practical to care for.
Second Paula Breder, creator of the PB philosophy of capillary treatment and founder of a capillary phytocosmetics brand that bears her name, straight strands do need special care to remain healthy and beautiful. Check it out:
3 CARE THAT EVERY WOMAN WITH STRAIGHT HAIR AND NO CHEMICALS SHOULD TAKE:
1
Be careful when washing
Did you know that straight hair has greater propensity for oiliness? This is because the straight structure of the hair fiber facilitates the journey of the oil produced by the scalp to the ends of the strands – which gives the hair that oily appearance. This hardly happens with wavy, curly or frizzy hair.
Therefore, as straight hair tends to get oily more easily, the ideal thing is that you use shampoos with sebum-regulating agents (that is, anti-oily). Other than that, it’s also important to be careful with the amount of products you use on the wires, as conditioners, synthetic oils, leave-ins and ointments. “To avoid excessive oiliness, use a small amount and only on lengths and ends”, explains Paula.

Hydration every week? Yes!
Despite the tendency to oiliness, these hairs also need weekly hydration to maintain health. If you are looking for loose, well-aligned strands and still want to protect them when they are exposed to the sun, wind, rain and pollution, remember to moisturize them regularly.
“The ideal is to include hydration in the hair care routine once a week, but if you feel that the hair needs extra strength, increase the frequency”, he explains. “Opt for specific hydration masks for your hair type, designed to meet the real needs of your hair fiber, so you will have all the benefits of the product”.

Attention with the heat
For straight strands, the ideal is to let the hair dry naturally or with the help of a dryer at low temperature. This type of hair usually needs less heat tools to take shape – and that’s a positive thing, since these accessories collaborate for the formation of frizz and split ends.
According to Paula, to avoid these negative effects of heat, it is worth invest in vegetable oils cold pressed, as they protect from damage caused by weather and temperature changes. Other than that, keeping the cut up to date also helps – removing the ends is, yes, a healthy habit!
