In class, the hula hoop and ribbon (similar to those used in rhythmic gymnastics) are used in exercises that increase heart rate (bye, bye, fat girls!), correct the posture and improve joint mobility, especially in the upper limbs. “During the day, we rarely do arm and wrist rotations, right? most of us stay sitting in front of the computer”, says Audrea.

One of the innovations of ballet pilates is the barreplus, a bar with five levels. “In class, we work the deepest muscles of the body, always starting from the core.” Even the stick (a movable bar attached to rubber bands) intensifies the movements of the balletsince unstable support requires more balance and proprioception (corporal conscience) of the student – ​​even the pelvic floor is activated.

Less calories + firm legs

In training, there are few repetitions of each exercise (up to ten), however, at an accelerated pace to burn more calories. The ball, for example, can be placed between the legs to tighten and strengthen the inner thighs. Air tissue already works the muscles from head to toe and still helps with blood circulation. “The impact of jumping on the tissue boosts the blood that goes to the heart and also encourages the Lymphatic drainage”, explains Audrea, who guarantees a change in her body after thirty sessions of ballet pilates, twice a week.
