Artist illustrates the judgments women suffer daily

The way you dress can say a lot about a person, right? After all, fashion is one (among many) ways to express individuality. But we have to understand that clothes are just clothes! Don’t think that a person who only wears prints is instantly happy or that someone who only wears sober tones is sad. No judging those who wear short clothes, necklines or flashy accessories…

It was thinking and analyzing this judgment — and these “rules” imposed mainly on women who suffer, that journalist and illustrator Daisy Bernard created images showing how cruel these judgments can be. In these illustrations, Daisy also points out the incredibly sexist phrases that are uttered or thought based solely on how a person dresses.

Things like “think like a man”, “leave something to the imagination” and “you’re too frigid” are just a few of the judgmental phrases women deal with in aspects of their life, be it at work or in their relationships.

In the middle of 2017, people? Let’s rethink and reassess our attitudes for yesterday!
