Making homemade hair treatments, in addition to being extremely cheap – since the ingredients used are usually already at home, it is an excellent measure for those who want to solve small problems such as split ends, as natural mixtures do not harm the wires and have the same action potential of industrialized cosmetics.
The efficiency of home treatments in combating split ends is justified by the fact that the active principles capable of sealing the hair cuticles are usually not chemical substances made in laboratories, but nutrients that are present in food.
Check out the 8 formulas, researched by American blogger Lyndsie Robinson, capable of leaving your hair with intact strands from root to tip:
1 – Egg shampoo
Egg shampoo is made with 30 grams of rosemary, preferably fresh, a liter of hot water, and an egg. To prepare the mixture properly, you must boil the water, put the rosemary in the hot water and let it soak. After the rosemary water has cooled down, beat an egg and add the formula, which should be applied to the hair in the same way as a regular shampoo.
2 – Castor oil conditioner
To enjoy the benefits of castor oil conditioner, you should mix a third of a cup of castor oil tea with the same amount of mustard oil and olive oil. Afterwards, all you need to do is apply the mixture to your hair, wrap it in a towel, let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse.
3 – Honey treatment cream
Mix a tablespoon of honey with half a cup of curd and apply to the hair, paying special attention to the ends. Let the mixture remain on hair for 20 minutes and then wash it off with plenty of water.
4 – Papaya treatment cream
Divide a papaya in half and save one of the halves as it will not be used. Remove the skin and seeds from the remaining half of the papaya, mash it and add half a cup of yogurt. Apply the cream formed on the hair and let it act for 30 minutes. Then rinse your hair.
5 – Avocado treatment cream
Mix an avocado, without home and seed, mashed with a tablespoon of olive oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it for 15 minutes. Then rinse.
6 – Sour cream tonic
Mix a tablespoon of heavy cream in half a glass of milk, apply it to your hair, leave it on for about 15 minutes, and then wash it off. This toner should be applied to the hair after it has been washed with regular shampoo and conditioner.
7 – Beer tonic
All you have to do is, after washing your hair, dip it from the middle to the ends in a little pot of beer and then rinse. The beer smell will persist for a while, but the shine and softness of the strands will be intense.
8 – Olive oil tonic
Heat some oil and put it in a pot. Then soak your hair in the same way you did with beer tonic. Cover your hair with a shower cap and wait 30 minutes to rinse.
