We all like to drink an occasional sweet dessert, and not all of them have to be supermarket products or elaborate delicatessen with French surnames. With things we usually have at home we can make some wonderful desserts, to our liking, decorate them with a little skill and enjoy a sweet bite created with our own hands.

Today I give you a few very simple recipes and with very few ingredients that I really like, both to make them and to recommend them, because they are a good approach to cooking for beginners: it’s almost impossible to go wrong.

1. Chocolate cream

Ingredients

1 ripe avocado 3-4 ounces of dark chocolate (more than 75% cocoa) 2 dates

Preparation

Open the avocado and put all the meat in the blender along with the pitted dates. Beat it all together for a minute. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and add it to the mixture. Beat it for 1 more minute until it is a homogeneous cream. Serve it in dessert glasses with some walnuts on top (or whatever nuts you have). You can add more chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon or orange zest, to taste.

2. Vanilla and apple smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup soy drink ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence ½ peeled apple A pinch of ground cinnamon

Preparation

Beat everything with the mixer for 1 minute, until there is a homogeneous and frothy shake. Serve it in small glasses or glasses with wafers, seeds, etc.

3. Crunchy Chocolate Strawberries

Ingredients

500g strawberries or strawberries 6-7 ounces of dark chocolate (more than 75% cocoa) A handful of nuts (for example almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts)

Preparation

Wash the strawberries very well and dry them with kitchen paper. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Chop the nuts with a mortar or by crushing them inside a closed freezer bag. Place baking paper on a large tray. Go putting the strawberries one by one in the chocolate to cover them and remove the excess chocolate. Leave the strawberry on the tray and sprinkle it with the chopped nuts (you only need a pinch). Put all the strawberries on the tray and let the chocolate solidify in a cool, dry place. Then you can store it in the fridge or serve it.

4. Banana, oatmeal, chocolate and hazelnut cookies

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats 1 medium-large banana, ripe 2-3 tablespoons pure chocolate chips 10-12 hazelnuts

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Mash the banana in a bowl and beat it well until it becomes a creamy cream. Crush the hazelnuts. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and mix well. Shape cookies into balls of dough the size of a walnut, flattening them. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until lightly golden. Let them cool before trying them.

5. Spring yogurt

Ingredients

2 natural soy yogurts 8-10 strawberries 10-12 raspberries 14-16 blueberries A handful of sliced ​​or toasted almonds

Preparation

Wash the fruits and cut them into medium pieces (blueberries and raspberries only in half). Mix the yogurt with the fruit and almonds in a bowl. Serve in individual cups.

6. Lemon and coconut truffles

Ingredients

1 cup shredded coconut juice and zest of 1 lemon ½ cup ground almonds (almond flour) 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in the blender and beat it all together until a consistent dough is formed. Shape it into balls (to make it easier, you can wet your hands with coconut oil) about the size of a walnut and leave them in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving.

7. Apple Pie

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (that does not contain animal fats) 2 red apples Cinnamon to taste The zest of ½ lemon

Preparation

Spread the puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Look at the instructions on the package and preheat the oven accordingly. Wash the apples and cut them with a mandolin or a knife into thin slices. Place them on the puff pastry and sprinkle with the lemon zest. Hydrate the apple slices with a water sprayer before putting it in the oven. Bake it until the puff pastry has risen and is beginning to brown. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple. Let it warm or cool before trying it. You can serve it with vegan whipped cream or coconut cream on top.
