5 steps for you to trust yourself more! – GOOD SHAPE

Sometimes we discredit ourselves and our potential. We find problems where none exist and believe we are not good enough. So today, I’ll introduce you to 5 steps to start trusting yourself more!

1st. What are your main qualities?

Before we can believe in ourselves, we need to know what we’re good at, right? Only then can we find out if we have the aptitude to face what lies ahead! So, I advise you to take a sheet of paper and write, at least, 5 good things about you, and then, ask some family members and friends to send you some of their qualities too!

2nd. What are your limitations?

In addition to knowing what works, it’s also extremely important to think about the points of attention, what we don’t like and what we’re not so good at! That simple! But hey, notice if it’s a real limitation or a limitation by fear, OK? Many of the things we sometimes run away from, we could learn more about and face! For this you can think about the things you would not do at all and why.

3rd. how could you handle better with a certain situation?

If you have dreams of being a good public speaker or if you’ve been asked to speak to a large audience and you know you have the knowledge to do so, but you still lack that conviction, think about things you can learn that will help you to be even better! Maybe you can talk to someone who has been through this situation, you can read some books, take courses… There are many ways to improve yourself! For each challenge, you can ask yourself this question and think of some improvement options!

4th. How is your level requirement?

Can you tell that you have an exacerbated charge to be perfect? Do you always expect to reach a practically unreachable level? No person is good enough, and especially not yourself? Well, it’s better to reflect a little more on all this! After all, we all make mistakes! But the most important thing is to do our best, no matter what!!! (And remember, do the best you can, under the conditions you have right now! And don’t judge yourself from the past, because at the time you probably didn’t know what you know now!)

“Done is better than perfect”, As George Patton once said!

5th. Be allowed be magnificent!

We have already discussed in several other texts here from Column Therapy and Happiness about the permission to be human and, today, I present to you the permission to be magnificent!!

You know, you can be amazing! You can live the life of your dreams and overcome great challenges! You can be wonderful, just by being who you are! I’m not talking about stepping over others, but about putting your full potential into play!

I hope that even with the fear arising, you keep trying! I hope that even with those butterflies in your stomach, you can remember your infinite potential!

When in doubt about your capabilities, think about which words of encouragement you would tell your best friend if you were in the situation you are in. And now tell me, it’s much more motivating than the words you’ve been saying to yourself, right?!

Hey, let’s go together! Overcoming challenges, learning a lot, finding our potential, understanding our limits, allowing us to be magnificent and grow a lot, as human beings and as a society!

Of course, we will never be 100% confident, and we don’t need to! Having a little fear and anxiety is part of it! This helps us a lot to keep our feet on the ground, to prepare ourselves better for some situations and also encourages us to move! Pre-presentation anxiety can be good (if controlled, of course), as it helps you study more, think about different points to improve and possible questions that can be asked.

But, in case the fear Or the anxiety are paralyzing you on something, maybe it’s worth asking for help, okay? Your trajectory can be even better with someone’s help!
