Carolina Coronado Romero de Tejada (1820-1911) was a Spanish poet of great notoriety in her time, to the point that she was described as the female Bécquer because of her extraordinary imagination.

Both the life and personality of Carolina Coronado seem ripped from a story by EA Poe. She began writing poems at the age of ten, with language that was difficult to associate with that age.
