Math teacher: “I don’t care if you get good or bad grades. If you work hard, I will work even harder to get you approved.” He worked hard for me — and I passed. © Thesorus / Reddit

My respect for my teacher increased when he saw some students wanting to skip class and called them into his office. The teacher told them, “If you want to make a mess of the class, then stay in the room, doing whatever you want in the back. It is better that they are inside the school than outside it”. © Raw1213 / Reddit

My English teacher asked where my homework was. I replied: “I forgot to do it”. And then he said to the rest of the class, “Why can’t you be like him? He didn’t try to make excuses, he just said he didn’t do the task.” © Scratch_That_ / Reddit
My teacher played in a rock band that was starting to be successful at the time. However, he left shortly before the group broke up because he wanted to be a teacher. This guy preferred teaching kids to taking a chance on fame and fortune, and he hasn’t looked back. © dasoberirishman / Reddit
I had a teacher who said she didn’t like asking questions with “gotchas”. The students were already curling up too much without having a teacher to make matters worse. And she never really asked leading questions. © Nicholi417 / Reddit
A while ago, my art teacher sent me a questionnaire asking if I had any coloring pencils at home. I said no, and she left some on my doorstep. © Jnyflrs / Reddit
When my history teacher saw that I was more depressed than usual, she gave me permission to go to the library instead of class. She wasn’t snooping, she just wanted me to know that she would be there if I needed her. I love her for the way she showed a strange child how much she cared about us. © tahitianhashish / Reddit
I have epilepsy, and I suffered from several seizures right before high school chemistry finals. Those multiple attacks destroyed my memory and everything I had learned in class during that semester. When I failed the test, I was ashamed of my performance, so the teacher gave me one more question. With that, I was approved. I didn’t expect that attitude, but it was really cool to see so much empathy in a teacher. © Early_or_Latte / Reddit
I understand everything about physics when my professor is teaching, but I don’t understand anything when I study through the PDF files. Therefore, my teacher made an animation video to help me understand the content. © PiePower43 / Reddit

“Current: The amount of charge flowing past a given point on a cable.”

Anyone who was late for history class had to submit a paper the next day. If more than one student was late, the presentation was in charge of whoever arrived last. The same rule applied to the teacher. One morning we saw two students walking quickly towards the school, late. Suddenly, they both started running at full speed. Behind them, also running fast, in a suit and with a briefcase in his hand, came the professor. The man quickened his pace, but he couldn’t get there before the students. © bookworm1896 / Reddit
I was a sophomore in college when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Somehow I had managed to manage everything around the house, taking care of my mother and completing my work. I used to be late, almost daily. Doing homework late made me sleepy during classes the next day. I was once called into a teacher’s office. I thought I was fried, but she handed me my work (I got full marks) and said, “I don’t have a daughter, but if I did, I’d like her to be just like you.” © newsensequeen / Reddit
I had a physical education teacher who organized basketball, volleyball, handball and soccer championships, promoted “Olympic Games” for local children and taught us to dance on weekends. All on its own. He was more than just a teacher. © remote_peach / Reddit
I was driving and saw a man lying on the sidewalk next to a bicycle. I was worried thinking he was hurt. I stopped the car and went to check it out. In fact, he was a local school science teacher with a GoPro camera on his head filming an anthill for his students. © BradMossEsq / Twitter
I had a principal in high school who was extremely strict, and was ALWAYS looking to get people into trouble. A boy was being accused of something he hadn’t done, until a teacher decided enough was enough, coming to the child’s defense. She was an amazing teacher and, of course, she was fired at the end of the school year. But that didn’t stop her from attending my class graduation the following year! © confused_honestly / Reddit
My chemistry teacher was the only one in my entire life who agreed, on the eve of a test, to stay after hours to solve the questions. She checked everything and pointed out the mistakes. She was a teacher who did not accept being “bribed” to give students the expected grade. Only knowledge was important to her. © Katerina.z / Pikabu
A math teacher I had always stayed with me after class to explain the lessons. She was worried about my final exam. And when the notes came out, she hugged me and burst into tears. After all that, I got the highest grade in the class. © Ambassador / Pikabu
An elementary school teacher would drive us home after class. She fed us and kept us busy with educational games. Any child who did not understand the lesson could sit next to her and analyze everything together. And our parents didn’t come home after work. They went to the teacher’s house for tea. It was like that for three years. She was never paid or made any mention of remuneration. © solnceiasnoe / Pikabu

Bonus: Students are awesome too

I’m a teacher, and my students noticed that I wasn’t acting like myself. Emotionally, I was in a horrible place. They knew I’m a Billie Eilish fan, so one of them drew this masterpiece for me. © kingyeates / Reddit

I was assigned to teach an introductory biological sciences class to seniors in high school. On the last day before the end of the course, I entered the room and greeted everyone. But suddenly, I noticed that there were posters hanging all over the walls. A group of students surreptitiously snapped a picture of me while I was teaching, then edited the image, made copies, and hung them all over the room to surprise me. © Vishak Raman / Quora

My mother is a teacher, and one day she made the mistake of taking the banana that a student had taken to eat for lunch, but that she was going to throw away, and said that she would give it to my pet piggy to eat. Today, we broke the record for unwanted bananas received in a single day. © cplkm / Reddit
