13 reasons to stop caring about other people’s opinions

1. Nobody knows what you’ve been through

How do you like your Nescau, your sufferings, pains, experiences, joys… So who are they to judge you without knowing you? 🇧🇷

2. They are not paying their bills

If you want, I’ll give you the data to start making the deposit of “who asked”.

3. They are probably more insecure than you

This is a way of “feeling better” (which is really awful) by ridiculing, belittling, or humiliating others. Just stop.

4. It sucks your energy

Hardly will people be talking about you all the time, as it is in your head. Or even anytime. That’s why it’s not worth spending your accounted forces on something that doesn’t have any positive return.

5. You will NEVER be able to please everyone

There will always be someone who finds your work average, your clothes strange, your hair different, your sexuality “out of the box”, your rude manners… It’s a very long list of prerequisites to be you and please everyone, see?

5. Generally, people care a lot more about them

As curious as it may be, human beings have a tendency to be selfish and self-centered. Think about it: when you talk to people out there, they are usually more willing to talk about their own lives than to know about yours or someone else’s, isn’t it? They don’t really care that much about you.

6. You don’t owe anyone anything

There is not the slightest need to justify yourself or explain in any way to someone who doesn’t deserve you to waste your Latin. Except that credit card bill, lol.

7. Not everything you hear is useful

Of course, you need to be open to constructive criticism and advice about your image – not least because it would be a little embarrassing to show up naked at work, just wearing flip-flops simply because you don’t care – but take a good look at everything you hear. Only you know yourself enough to know if that’s true or not. And if it isn’t, dismiss it from your mind.

8. Disturbs your sleep

How nice it is to think about the impression you made on your crush at the party, if your boss liked that tip you gave at the meeting or if you were rocking your look today. But no staying up all night worrying about it, please.

9. It limits your creativity

Wearing a crazy piece of clothing, going somewhere unknown or betting on someone you don’t know anything about: all of this is pretty limited when you have other people’s opinions telling you what to do/not to do. You will be happy, my friend!

10. Hiding behind a screen is very easy

Negative comments, people criticizing you and the worst: none of them say any of this to your face. Despite having many advantages, the internet also brings a problem of criticism against everything and everyone that can be quite cruel. But of course it’s a thousand times better to say “what you think” without being face to face with the person.

11. You will not judge others either

After all, none of that matters! Why waste time coming up with crazy ideas about someone you don’t even know the name? How would that change your life anyway?

12. Improves your self-esteem

The less ears you give the world, the less it will affect your emotional security. And when you’re good with yourself, it shows to the world and it reciprocates you twice as much <3

13. Everything that is different bothers you – and a lot

From the smallest details to big changes, the world is not always prepared to receive something that is new, different. Well, we have some very hot news: everyone is unique. Well, get used to it.
