Trying to solve this family secret, she goes to Equatorial Guinea and discovers the tragic story of the forbidden love between a proud Spaniard and a handsome African. The film harmoniously combines the ineffable beauty of nature, colonial exoticism, cruelty and passion. It is a pleasure to watch you.

Phantom Thread, 2017

post-war London. Famed couturier Reynolds Woodcock and his sister dress all of the city’s elite, including movie stars and the royal family. And although there are many women in his life, he is known to be a confirmed bachelor. However, after meeting a waitress, Alma, he loses his mind. She becomes his muse, bringing happiness to his life, as well as his doubts about whether or not love interferes with his work, his main passion. The beautiful film has excellent performances: to play Woodcock, for example, Daniel Day-Lewis worked as an assistant to the costume designer New York City Ballet for several months.

A 10-year-old boy named Tecumseh Sparrow Spivet lives with his farmer father and entomologist mother. He is much smarter than kids his age and always invents new things. One of his friends sends the sketch of the perpetual motion machine, invented by the child, to the Washington Institute, and Spivet receives an invitation to go there to receive a prize for his invention and to present a report. He runs away from home and travels across the country to discover that life is a mystery more complicated than his invention. A captivating film that can be seen with children.

But one day she is affected by a rare disease in the lungs, where a water lily starts to grow.

This touching love story, in a fantastic and absurd world, was filmed by Michel Gondry, based on the homonymous novel by Boris Vian, and is exactly a case when the film is in no way inferior to the book. Maybe even higher.

The tree of life, 2011

11-year-old Jack’s parents have opposing views on how they should raise him. Loving mother teaches him to be kind and believe in God, and strict father insists that he must first think about his interests and be able to stand up for himself. Jack doesn’t know who to listen to, and this confusion doesn’t end as the years go by, when he faces pain and suffering, and life, from an easy and clear fairy tale, turns into a dark labyrinth. A beautiful film by the famous director Terrence Malick, in which the hero tries not only to solve his internal contradictions, but also the riddle of life itself.
