10 ideas to enjoy the month of September

August may have been good for some and bad for others. But everyone agrees it’s been an interminable month. No holiday, FIVE Mondays… not easy. So it is with great joy that we welcome September! We’ve selected 10 cool things to make your month wonderful from start to finish:

1 – Hmmmmm… sex day 😉

September arrives with a well positioned holiday. The first Monday of the month is September 7, Brazil’s Independence Day. 3 – Rock in Rio!
For those who like to go to concerts, September is a full plate! In Rio de Janeiro there is Rock in Rio, between the 18th and 20th, and then between the 24th and 27th. more than 100 attractions, for all tastes🇧🇷 Queen + Adam Lambert, One Republic, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Seal, John Legend, System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age, Slipknot, Faith no More, Rihanna, Sam Smith, Katy Perry… phew ! It’s a lot of people.

4 – … and more concerts!
Didn’t get a ticket to Rock in Rio? No problem: several artists take advantage of the trip to play in other places in Brazil. In São Paulo there will be Queen + Adam Lambert (16), One Republic (20), Faith no More (24) and Katy Perry (25)🇧🇷 Porto Alegre also receives Queen and Curitiba receives Katy Perry. Do you prefer indie? There’s Iron and Wine (2) and The Residents (17) in São Paulo. Likes rap? Tyga plays on the 24th in São Paulo as well. Without international attractions, but also full of good things, the Jack Daniels Festival takes place in Recife, on the 12th.

5 – Series season
Yay! Several series that we love come back in September with new episodes. Time to miss “Scandal”, “Once Upon a Time”, “How To Get Away With Murder”, “The Big Bang Theory”, “The Good Wife”…
In addition, new series are coming that promise to win our hearts. We bet on the news “Blood & Oil”, with Chace Crawford (Nate from Gossip Girl!), “Scream Queen”, from the same creator of “Glee” and “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris”, with the eternal Barney, from “How I Met Your Mother”.

6 – Masterchef Final (day 15)
Are you ready? Already have a guess? Masterchef Brazil, the program that the internet loves to follow, comes to an end on the 15th, and if it goes as we hope, it will have strong emotions. It is said that the finalists will have the right to a red carpet, bleachers with fans and several people doing live tweeting directly from the Band studios. Ignore the spoilers that leaked a while ago, this final will be awesome 🙂

7 – Because it’s spring
This year the winter was mild, and sometimes even warm. Still, the arrival of spring has a special taste. Enjoy the parks and squares where you live, how about having a picnic? Putting your legs outside is absolutely free, rolling on the grass is the best sport. Enjoy the most flowery season of all!

8 – To enjoy reading
For literature fans, one of the coolest events is the Rio Book Biennial, the largest in the country. This year the event will host authors such as David Nicholls, author of “One Day” and “Us”, Julia Quinn, from the series “The Bridgertons” and Leigh Bardugo, from the “Grisha” trilogy, in addition to several writers from Argentina, the country honored once. The Biennial rolls between the 3rd and 13th of September, at Riocentroand the ticket costs R$ 16.

9 – To enjoy the Emmys (day 20)
Do we love series? Yessss! Do we love red carpet? Yessss! Do we love awards? Yessss! On the 20th, the Emmy takes place in the USA, American TV party, which rewards the main actors and TV productions. It’s the chance to see all the stars of our favorite series together. This year “Game of Thrones” tops the nominations, but everyone will be there. Hosted by comedian Andy Samberg. How about getting your friends together for an Emmy party at home?

10 – International fashion weeks
Do you like to keep up with fashion trends? September is excellent for this, there is a parade almost every day. The women’s ready-to-wear season starts on the 10th and runs until the 7th of October.
