10 Crazy Theories About Harry Potter That Will Make You See Him Differently

While the whole world waits for the premiere of the second part of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, we decided to remember the much-loved story “The Boy Who Lived”. Over the years, interest in Harry Potter books and films has not waned. Fans are coming up with different theories, trying to observe something more in the characters’ actions, putting the pieces together like a puzzle. Some of the hypotheses will really take your breath away.

O awesome.club presents the 10 craziest Harry Potter theories.

10. Professor Dumbledore’s Great Role

This theory is that, throughout the entirety of history, Professor Dumbledore has been running a complicated game, thinking of many moves ahead. The objective of the game is to win the war against Voldemort, where the protagonist is Harry Potter. However, Harry is introduced to the game when he is still very small, and in order to properly prepare him for the final battle, Dumbledore resorts to different tricks. Many details are borne out by the fact that all the tests were prepared by Dumbledore especially for Harry. For example, at the beginning, it may be observed that an artifact as dangerous as the Philosopher’s Stone is protected by tests that a first-year student can pass.

The omniscient teacher, although he remains behind the scenes, influences all events and many characters from there. He, like a great manipulator, directs his complicated game of chess, whose figures later gradually get out of control.

9. Harry, Snape and Voldemort are brothers from the short story “The Deathly Hallows”

The book The Tales of Beedle the Bard (“The Tales of Beedle the Bard”, in literal translation), talks about the three Peverell brothers. The fairy tale appears in the story to tell about three gifts: the elderberry, the resurrection stone, and the invisible layer. But you can also see that there is a parallel world between the characters. Voldemort goes to great lengths to obtain the elderberry wand and enjoy unlimited power, which makes him look like the big brother from the fairy tale. The middle brother is Severus Snape, as he is estranged from his lost love Lily Potter. The younger brother is Harry. He has been given the invisible cloak, is prepared and not afraid to meet death.

But there is also a fourth character in this story that unites them all and that is Dumbledore.

8. Dumbledore is death

Dumbledore was the sole owner of all the presents, before Harry took them. It was he who gave Harry the Invisible Cloak, then the Resurrection Stone. And he lost his elder wand in a duel with Draco Malfoy. Even he is indirectly involved in the deaths of Voldemort and Snape. And when Harry ‘dies’, Dumbledore finds him an ‘old friend’. It’s quite symbolic.

7. Harry had a bad influence from the Dursleys

The Dursleys inexplicably felt a strong enmity towards Harry. Of course, unexpectedly adding a child to the bosom of the family was a burden for them. Either way, it’s hard to justify his blunt behavior. Fans propose that Harry was a Horcrux. And his presence had a negative impact on the family. When Ron, Hermione and Harry took turns placing the Slytherin brooch around their necks, they became mischievous and suspicious, and with difficulty controlling their emotions. So in this case we can assume that a particle of the Dark Lord’s soul within the teenage wizard could have negatively influenced the Dursleys in the 10 years of living under one roof. However, in this case, it’s unclear why the Horcrux inside Harry didn’t influence Ron, Hermione, and other magicians around him.

6. Neville is the real “boy who lived”

Neville Longbottom was born at the end of the seventh month, his parents more than once challenged Voldemort, who is also a Gryffindor. For him and Harry, Trelawney’s prophecy fits. Unlike Harry, Neville had a gift: he knew a lot about herbology. Also, in the end it was Neville who annihilated the serpent, faithful companion of the Dark Lord and his main Horcrux.

This question came from Rowling. However, fans went further and assumed that the Order of the Phoenix knew from the start Neville’s purpose and, for his salvation, especially changed him and place with child Harry. True or not, the Dark Lord appeared at the Potters’ house and that’s what started the story.

5. Harry fears Dementors for a reason

Harry fears Dementors more than others, as they act more strongly on him than on others around him. It is quite likely that the Dementors prefer him more than the others because Harry is a Horcrux. This means that inside him is a part of Voldemort’s soul. Thus, he has 1,125 souls, which makes him “more delicious” for dementors.

4. Neville wasn’t a bad magician, he just used the wrong wand

In the early years of studying at Hogwarts, Neville couldn’t do even the simplest of spells. And although his parents were powerful wizards, Neville considered himself almost a pureblood. Later, Neville, still with all this, excelled: he led the Order of Dumbledore, successfully learned the defense spell, and withstood the fight against the Death Eaters. It may have been a natural process of growing up, but it cannot be ignored that at first Neville used his father’s wand. As is well known, it is the wand that chooses the mage. If someone else’s wand is used, it will not work for the mage as it should. In a duel with a Death Eater, it was destroyed and Neville was finally able to choose a magic wand. This change allowed the young man to reveal his magical potential, his abilities improved significantly, he fought angrily in the Battle of Hogwarts, killed the serpent Nagini and finally became professor of Herbology. And her ever-disaffected grandmother could finally be proud of her grandson.

3. Harry is immortal

“One of them must die at the hands of the other, since no one can live in silence while the other is alive.” This is what Sybill Trelawney’s prophecy about the connection between Harry Potter and Voldemort sounds like. The fundamental interpretation is that Harry is fated to kill the evil wizard or be killed by him and there is no middle ground. But there is another explanation of the prophecy offered by fans of the story. If one of them must die at the hands of another, then the survivor becomes immortal, as he can only be killed by the enemy, as stipulated in Sybill’s prediction. Therefore, Harry fulfilled the conditions of the prophecy and possibly found immortality.

2. Snape didn’t actually die

Severus Snape was a potions expert and a “double agent” for many years, so it’s likely he had an antidote in the event of a revelation. Also, his body was not found among the victims of the Battle of Hogwarts. And when Harry used the resurrection stone, Snape’s ghost did not appear, unlike the ghosts of his parents, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

This is probably why the elder wand doesn’t obey Voldemort, as he failed to kill Snape. And not because the wand passed into Draco Malfoy’s hands in the first place, as he disarmed Dumbledore first.

Possibly Severus, having fulfilled his debt to Dumbledore and his beloved Lily, decided to start a new life in a new place.

1. Harry made it all up

What if these amazing events never happened? What if Harry Potter was an ordinary, possibly schizophrenic, child who lived in the cupboard under the stairs, and the whole story happened only in his head? It was a way to escape the sad reality in which his brother, his aunt and his uncle made fun of him every day.
