Young people are wanted to travel the world for 2 years and seek solutions to global problems

Traveling is always an opportunity to meet new people, different places and cultures. But what if travel also helped change the world? This is the intention of Oceania Expeditionan initiative that looks for extraordinary young people to participate in a two-year journey, with the proposal to seek solutions to global problems.

O awesome.club I wanted to know a little more about this project and now I’m going to tell you what it is about and how to be part of it.

“We are looking per 5 young people extraordinary women and men between 20 and 30 years old, courageous, who want to work outdoors and without schedules, who know how to listen and work as a team”. This is how Oceania Expedition announces this opportunity for anyone who wants to be part of a truly meaningful trip.

The expedition’s goals are to reduce poverty, improve education and health, gender equality, protect the oceans, care for forests and biodiversity, as well as generate solutions against hunger, inequality, climate change and scarcity. of water.

These goals are related to 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN in the 2030 Universal Agenda, whose main themes are 5: Planet, people, prosperity, peace and partnership.

THE Oceania Blue Sea Expedition will go through almost 50 thousand kilometers in 80 countries, in which there will be dialogues with more than 1,500 scientists. The aim is to seek concrete solutions to problems that affect practically all of humanity, directly or indirectly.

This trip will be made in “Aquarela” a scientific research vessel, which will serve as the basis for all content and events. People who already apply some environmental solutions will also be invited to participate in some stages of the trip, with the aim of find local solutions for global problems.

The Oceania project is quite ambitious and intends to reach many people through the creation of multimedia content: documentary series, fiction series, a concert with various artists, in addition to other formats for television.

Oceania Expedition content will feature talented contributors such as:

Sergio Oksman: the Brazilian will be responsible for directing the documentary series, with the participation of the chosen young people. His work has been featured in hundreds of international festivals, where he has won numerous awards.

Alejandro Bazzano: will be the fiction series director. Bazzano has produced films and television series and is known for directing series such as the hit the paper houseBesides plastic sea and Laura’s Mysteriesbetween others.

Mario Picazo: specialist in climate and meteorology, with training in Atmospheric Sciences and Geography. He has participated in several climate-related media projects.

For this two-year journey, the project is looking for young graduates between the ages of 20 and 30. They will become protagonists of documentary series, so they must perform well in front of the cameras, speak english and spanish, enjoy nature, be able to learn and, although experience in sailing is not necessary, it is good not get too seasick while sailing.

Candidates must dedicate two years of their lives to this experience, which will begin in November 3, 2019 and will end in July 15, 2021. Registration to participate in this project is done through the Vibuk platform, created by actor Antonio Banderas.

The challenges facing humanity today are enormous. That is why this initiative goes beyond a leisure trip, as it aims to establish a cooperative dialogue to reach applicable ideas that result in tangible solutions.

It is about becoming an active agent of change in order to motivate more people and be able to create a chain with social impact, economic and political, which benefits all.
