“You see me as I am” says Luc, transgender son of Marcelo Tas, in homage to his father at the Encontro

Presenter Marcelo Tas, 56 years old, was in a conversation circle about transsexuality, on the Encontro program, this Thursday, 10/20, commanded by Fátima Bernardes. The presenter is the father of Luc, 27 years old, from his first marriage to costume designer Kopke, 57 years old. The boy paid a beautiful tribute to his father, thanking him for all the support he gives him in his decisions.

Luc was registered as Luiza, because he was assigned the female gender at birth, and came out as bisexual at age 15. At 22, she came out as trans and changed her name to be called according to the gender she identifies with, the male. Currently, Luc lives in the United States with her husband Nicholas, who is also transgender. In a surprise video for his father, the young man thanked his parents for their respect and unconditional love.

“I would like to reiterate my love, my gratitude, my affection, my affection. For you and Mom, for the way you truly embraced me when I started my transition. For the way you never let me doubt your unconditional love, you never let me doubt that you were on my side, that you would support me. It is difficult to face and look at this novelty. For me it was new, but I realized that this is something very common, it is a phenomenon, it is increasingly present in the lives of all of us.
