O Google released this Wednesday (11) the most searched terms in Brazil in 2019, those that generated so much curiosity in people that they had to type “what is it”.

Unsurprisingly, at the top of the list are some of the biggest controversies that happened this year. In late May, she filed a police report accusing him of rape after meeting him in Paris, France. After the document surfaced, the player went to Instagram to explain what happened and give his version of the facts, confirming that there was a meeting, but that what happened between the two was consensual. In addition, he also disclosed prints with the conversations he had with the model. “Hi, reason for my libido”said one of the passages.

It was enough for the term to become a meme, funk lyrics, appear in several jokes that circulated on social networks, and piqued the curiosity of Brazilians.

But what is libido anyway?

The term means will or desire. According to the sexologist and tantric master Danni Cardilho, libido is “an energetic charge that originates from sexuality as a whole”. She explains: “many people think that sexuality is located only in the genital system, which is not true. It is an energy that makes individuals seek the fulfillment of their basic needs, such as hunger, for example, and also all forms of pleasure”.
