Ghosting is a term to describe an increasingly common attitude in this century in which many relationships start through dating sites or apps: breaking up without explanation.
That is, it occurs when that crush you were talking to or going out with starts ignoring you, disappears suddenly as if it were a ghost (a ghost), failing to respond to text messages, to answer calls, without giving any explanation.
This has implications for the person who has been ghosted: their self-esteem can be shaken. She tends to torture herself with questions about what she did or didn’t do to make this happen, in a loop that paralyzes her for life.
What to do when you’ve been ghosted: You don’t have to feel responsible for what caused the other person to disappear from your life. The person who practices ghosting may be unable to get out of the situations they create, either because of fear of conflict or because of immaturity, and taking the ghost shortcut may seem easier for them.
So don’t be shaken by the other person’s problem with themselves. Assuming that a relationship not ended with dignity does not compromise new and better dating opportunities in your life may be the most important step for you to strengthen yourself, recover self-respect, self-esteem, and move forward.
