Relationships are a fundamental part of our journey in life, however, we are often faced with questions about what it takes to have a healthy and happy relationship. In today’s text, we will explore what it really means to have a healthy relationship, how to cultivate it and the importance of self-knowledge in this process.
A healthy relationship is one that is based on mutual respect, open communication, trust, emotional support and joint growth, it is a partnership in which both parties feel valued, understood and supported, it is a space where each individual can express their emotions, share your dreams and needs without fear of being judged or rejected. A healthy relationship also has challenges, but it is able to face them with maturity and resilience.
Before embarking on a healthy relationship, it is essential to cultivate self-knowledge, to be your own whole orange so as not to be looking for another half. Knowing yourself, your needs, values and limits is the basis for establishing authentic and satisfying relationships and, in addition, it helps to avoid relationships based on emotional dependence or the search for external validation.

A healthy relationship starts with self-care. Prioritize your physical, emotional and mental well-being, dedicate time to activities that bring you pleasure, relaxation and personal growth. Be mindful of their needs and set healthy boundaries. Remember that you are responsible for your own happiness and you shouldn’t rely solely on your partner to feel complete.

Open and empathetic communication
Communication is key to a healthy relationship, so practice active listening, be present when your partner is talking, and empathize as you try to understand their perspectives. Be open and honest in expressing your feelings and needs, avoid destructive criticism or personal attacks, and instead seek constructive solutions and mutual compromise.
