We deserve much more than someone who comes to us only when it suits them.

We deserve much more than someone who doesn’t look for us, someone who doesn’t want to hear our fears, who doesn’t get excited when we tell our desires or when we talk about our dreams. We deserve much more than someone who pretends to care about us, but who is much more absent than present or who only appears when he wants to.

We don’t deserve someone who suffocates us, who holds us or who isolates us from the world. We deserve someone who takes our breath away only if it’s to kiss us, who holds us only if it’s in a hug, who expands our world, who shows us that we can go much further than we imagine.

We deserve someone who believes in us, who gives us strength when we need it and who is there to lift us up in our falls. We don’t deserve someone who only stays by our side at the best times, but who walks away from us and goes far away when things lose their way.

We deserve someone who always wants to go by our side, whatever happens, even if we’re not sure which way we’re going to go. We don’t deserve someone who only responds with “leave it for later”.

We don’t deserve someone who doesn’t even make an effort to see us, who ignores any possibility to find us. If someone runs away from us, it’s because that someone never wanted to stay. We deserve someone who calls us at dawn to talk about random things because hearing our voice will serve as a calming to sleep better. We deserve someone who shows up to see us just because he missed us, not someone who says he misses us but never shows up to see us.

We deserve much more. Our heart is immense, our soul is intense, our dedication is whole, and we don’t deserve anything or anyone that is less than that. We still have a long way to go, so let’s move on, because we deserve someone who pushes us forward and not someone who just makes us flaws and pulls us down. We don’t deserve someone who delays us, who becomes a headache when it should bring comfort. Let’s go ahead and parade our loneliness around with a smile on our face, because one day someone will appear who will prove to us that he deserves all our dedication and our love.
