Underarm tattoos are the new body art trend

It’s not often that we see our own or even other people’s armpits. They show up when we apply deodorant, shave our hair (if applicable) or, come on, when we dance like no one is looking. Well, that’s enough for the new body art trend: armpit tattoos.

As it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere, they are appearing on the streets and, of course, on Instagram. The drawings are pretty cool:

It’s important to note that yes, tattoos that go down to the armpits – that is, they start on the arm, back or chest and are large enough to go under the arms – have been around for a while. What is different now is that they are unique designs, made exactly in this region, just the right size to stay there.

As with tattoos on the legs, for example, an armpit tattoo does not prevent the area from being waxed or shaved off with a razor blade. The drawing is done and life goes on as usual.
