These handy tricks can make it easier to do chores around the house

Nowadays, when gender lines are somewhat dubious, men and women strive to be competent and effective. However, according to a survey conducted in Pittsburgh, more than 40% of men, and reportedly even more women, are unable to do chores around the house. It’s time to change things! Here we leave you 14 tips that may seem “masculine” at first glance, but in reality will be very useful for any gender.

O awesome.club collected a list of tips and tricks for daily life that will help you for almost any situation that may arise in your home, garden or elsewhere.

1. Fix a punctured ball with an egg

If the inside of the rubber ball chamber has a small hole, it can be easily repaired with the help of an egg white, a syringe and a needle pump. Fill the syringe with egg white and insert it into the ball through the pump with the needle attached to the syringe, rotate the ball to ensure even distribution. Let the ball dry for 12 to 24 hours.

2. Improve your punching skills

Do you need to drill a clean hole in some material but don’t have a drill bit? Drill your own hole with three screws, a docking plate, and the instructions provided in this video. If you are creative enough, you can use your drill to screw, remove, mix, clean or sharpen pencils by simply changing the drill heads.

3. Removing a broken light bulb with a potato

4. Fold a t-shirt in just a few seconds

With the “pinch and fold” technique you can fold a shirt in under 3 seconds with a little practice and a flat surface. Find the midpoint between the top and bottom of the shirt, pinch the shirt at that point, move your left arm to the right and pinch the bottom of the shirt. Lift your shirt while uncrossing your arms and tuck your left sleeve under your shirt.

It might seem a little complicated, but there are many videos that show you how to do this.

5. The shaving cream prevents the windows from fogging up

Put a small amount of shaving cream on a part of the mirror that you want to keep clean. Then take a clean paper towel and use it to dry the mirror, leaving it completely dry. It will also work with shampoo, toothpaste and laundry detergent.

6. Hammer a nail safely, with the help of a clothespin

To protect your fingers, simply hold the nail with a clothespin, secure it in place and its tip will project from the side that is against the surface. This is a great way to keep your fingers intact!

7. How to use the “sometimes, always and never” rule for coats with buttons

Sometimes it is appropriate to have the top button of the coat buttoned together with the middle button. It is always appropriate to have the center button buttoned, but never button the last button.

8. Nuts can remove scratches from wood

9. Use a cup to sharpen your knives

Most ceramic cups have a rough or dull rim around the bottom that is perfect for sharpening a knife if you don’t have a proper sharpener. All you need to do is place the blade against the rough bottom of the cup and slide it back and forth.

10. Put on deodorant at night, before going to sleep

It usually takes time for your deodorant to start working (usually good deodorants and antiperspirants last 24-48 hours after application). So, if you apply it in the morning, there is a chance that you will sweat it out quickly before it has time for it to start working properly.

11. Use toothpaste to restore shine to your car’s headlights

To clean the surface of your headlights, rub them with a cloth with toothpaste in small circles. When necessary, add more water and toothpaste, wash and let the surface dry. Keep in mind that you should spend about 5 minutes on each headlight to notice results.

12. Fold a small sticky note to avoid dirt when drilling a hole in the wall

When drilling drywall, fold a sticky note and stick it under the drill bit. The bill picks up the dust, and when the job is done, all you have to do is take it off the wall and throw it away, avoiding filling the floor with dust.

13. Use a TV’s USB output to charge your cell phone

14. Use toothpaste to clean your sneakers

You can clean your athletic shoes that used to be white with some toothpaste and an old toothbrush that you no longer use. After applying the toothpaste to your shoes, let it sit for ten minutes. Then wipe with a damp cloth.
