Yes, men’s makeup is not something new. Its history takes us to Ancient Egypt, where men applied oils and fats to the skin in order to protect it from the heat of the desert and the intense rays of the sun. Although the use of makeup is not exactly a novelty for men, until recently practically only actors and musicians resorted to cosmetics to improve their look when going on stage or appearing on screens. Currently, however, we see more and more representatives of the male gender using beauty products in everyday life. But do you have any idea why men’s makeup is so hot today?

We know that men use makeup since ancient times, but until recently, products developed especially for the male consumer were rare. However, things have changed, as several companies have produced male cosmetics which are available on shelves reserved for men’s items in beauty supply stores. Of course, men can use traditional cosmetics designed for women, but many are uncomfortable with that. Therefore, the greater the offer of male beauty products, the more men will feel encouraged to try them.

From what we have been realizing in recent times, the male audience has been establishing itself as a great opportunity for growth for the beauty industry, and it is quite possible that, in the near future, we will see more and more products aimed at men or both genders. Big brands are launching collections developed specifically for them.
