The true story of Lucifer’s mother, the banished goddess of dawn

Who is Lucifer’s mother? What is his story?

Lucifer season 5 brought us many surprises, from tributes to Mexico to incredible behind-the-scenes photos.

But throughout the series there has been a constant question and it just has to do with the mother of the king of Hell.

Does Lucifer’s mother exist? What’s her name? Where did she come from?

Don’t worry, we will answer all those questions in this note.

Who is Lucifer’s mother?

The role of Lucifer’s mother is played by Tricia Helfer and we know her as Goddess of Creation, Mother of Angels or as Charlotte Richards (in her human form).

In the series they tell us that God and Goddess fell in love, created the universe and had many children together: the angels.

Years later, when God focused on his new project: humanity, he distanced himself from Goddess and her family, which caused her to begin to hate human beings.

Then, when God exiled Lucifer from paradise, Goddess’s fury only increased. She brought plagues and floods to the Earth until God got fed up with her and exiled her to hell as well.

Does Lucifer’s mother appear in the Bible?

No, in the Judeo-Christian tradition there is no mention of Lucifer’s mother simply because it is assumed that angels do not have parents and God never had a wife as such.

However, the character could be inspired by the mother of another Lucifer, one from Roman mythology.

In Rome Lucifer was the name of the planet Venus, and was represented by the figure of a man carrying a torch (after all Lucifer means “light bearer”).

Lucifer’s mother according to myth was called Aurora, goddess of dawn who was said to surpass any woman in the world in beauty.

In addition to Lucifer, Aurora had other children: Boreas (the north wind), Notos (the south wind), Zephyrus (the west wind) and also all the stars.

So now you know the true story of Lucifer’s mother and that she is not at all as scary as she was shown in the series.
