At that time, Alisan was living in New York and suddenly realized that she needed to get sober. According to her, it was like an illumination, because she felt miserable, overwhelmed, and knew she needed to change. So he prayed to a god he didn’t believe in and then called out to his mother. Days later, she began a detox treatment that lasted four years. This detox was very difficult for Alisan, but she persevered because she really wanted to change her life.

It was crazy I woke up HAPPY every day, and not because there was something or some guy in my bed. I was finding genuine happiness. I was no longer ‘numb’. I saw things differently than I had ever seen them. As were the trees and flowers. I found out I didn’t know everything! Finally, this was good in my life; I didn’t know everything and I didn’t have to solve everything, and that’s okay! My head slowed down, my life got better and everything I really wanted but wasn’t happening suddenly started showing up. I just wasn’t ready yet. It didn’t come until I was ready.

In 2016, 25 years after the success of The Trickster, Alisan reappeared. She did it not as an actress, but as a participant in the reality show The Voice. There, she told excitedly that she had managed to overcome his addictionswho had been sober for eight years and who had raised a beautiful family: she got married and had two children.

This reappearance, laden with nostalgia for those who remembered Alisan in The Trickster, could have resulted in nothing. One participation in the program and that’s it. But life sometimes gives more than one chance and that chance doesn’t always go as expected. Because Alisan, in addition to being an actress full of charisma, turned out to be an exceptional singer.
