Split ends: what they are, why they appear and how to avoid them –

Split ends are the big villains when it comes to healthy and beautiful hair. That’s because they contribute to the thread becoming brittle, rough and without vitality. TYPES OF DUAL ENDS

Pati reveals that there are six types, namely: young split point, Y split point, tapered double point, incomplete double point, tree double point and feather double point.

Young double tip: It consists of a newly formed split end, that is, one that has just started to break away from the main strand.
Double Y tip: It occurs when, at a certain point, a single wire splits into “two paths”.
Double tapered tip: It does not cause the hair shaft to break, but it becomes narrower and thinner towards its end. Incomplete split end: This situation is characterized by a thread that, despite keeping its end together, splits in half along its length. Double tree tip: “UA ramification of ends emerges from others on the same thread, as if they were branches”, says Pati.
Double feather tip: As with the tree type, there is also a branching, but only in the region of the tip, without affecting the extension of the wire, creating small points as if they were a feather.

HOW TO SOLVE?

To get rid of split ends for good, the most assertive strategy is to cut your hair. However, the hairstylist points out that this alone is not enough to prevent the problem from reappearing. “Much more than the cut, it is important to take care of the hair so that new split ends do not appear”, he says.

As she says, starting a capillary schedule can be a good alternative, since it helps to restore the levels of hydration, nutrients and proteins in the hair.
