Well, common sense indicates that sleep time affects health. And the aforementioned research proved this, showing that people who sleep less than 6 hours a day have problems completing basic tasks.

Hours of sleep during the week and on weekends are related to mortality
This study, which took 13 years to complete, aimed to assess the link between sleep duration during the week and on weekends and its relationship with people’s mortality. In total, 43,880 individuals took part in this research. Questions such as, for example, how many hours of sleep during the night during the week and on weekends were asked, with the aim of obtaining more personal answers, which resulted in an average of 5 to 9 hours.
Sleeping less than 5 hours can reduce your life expectancy
The research concluded that people under 65 years old who sleep less than 5 hours on weekends have a 52% higher mortality rate. But other days of the week were also evaluated, which resulted in a 65% higher mortality rate compared to those people who slept 6 to 7 hours. It should be noted that, as the study says, sleeping too much is also not healthy.
