The view that every woman who has a child is looking for a man to take the place of “father” is simplistic, ignorant and extremely closed off! The fact that she wants to meet you or be with you doesn’t mean she wants you to take on this role so easily and out of nowhere!

Understand that a woman who has likely faced a divorce or otherwise is not in a relationship with the child’s biological father is a woman who is focused on providing good times for her family (currently her and the child). She doesn’t do much drama regarding relationships because she’s already “hardened” on this issue! Her focus today is different! Maturity defines most of them, and what they look for in a mate is at least the same.

She’s in no hurry! Her routine is different, as she has already created responsibilities and duties that somehow consume much of her time. She works, studies, takes care of the house, the child and herself! If you want to get closer to her, you need to respect the rhythm she adopted for everything!

It’s not that she won’t make plans with you, but a woman who has responsibilities like hers tends to act more cautiously and let time explain the value of things! Make sure no decision she makes is hasty, and that’s great for you! Everything flows more naturally, without pressure, games or unnecessary behavior.

You will almost never hear her complain or grumble about “mean” things! Taking care of a child is not easy! It takes time, availability and patience. Maybe she goes hours or days without texting you or answering a single message, and that doesn’t mean she likes you more or less, it means that her time is precious and dedicated to her priorities! In fact, this should be a reason why when she sends or responds to your messages, you feel important, after all, she doesn’t waste time on things that don’t matter to her.

Having a child changes the entire psychological and behavioral side of a woman, and a woman who deals with it daily, when she has the time and opportunity, wants to enjoy peace! Of course she’ll agree to go out with you on a Saturday night, have a glass of wine and make small talk.

But my dear, when she can, all she wants most is to lie on the sofa without any noise, with a glass of vitamin on the dresser beside her and a book in her hand. In the few free moments she has, that’s exactly what she wants: PEACE!

It is for these and other reasons that she chooses to relate with much more responsibility! And that takes time… Don’t think she’s going to let you approach her son like you approach anyone else! It’s her most prized possession, it’s her rare gem, and rightly so, she protects it as such!

And please, “get” into her head that she is a mother! Single is something else! The word “single” is used to define a relationship status, the word “mother” is not! She’s going to be a mother for life and you won’t change that, since the fact that she’s single, you can even change! But believe me, you’ll have to be too much of a man for that…
