This platform changed our way of watching videos (previously restricted to TV), of producing content and even gave rise to a new expression “youtuber🇧🇷 And some of these content producers stand out for their spontaneity in sharing real life moments, without retouching, as is the case of Lucélia dos Santos.

O awesome.club brings the brief history of Lucélia, youtuber from the region of Cariri, in the hinterland of Ceará and who has gained more than half a million followers around the world, showing the nature of the region and his daily routine and showing that, even in the face of great difficulties, he always has a smile on his face . Lucélia is 24 years old, was born in Jardim and currently lives in Barbalha, both in the Cariri region. A lover of nature, the young woman is studying Environmental Engineering to collaborate with the preservation of the Environment and, thus, allow future generations to have access to the wonders that nature can offer.

YouTube came into Lucélia’s life when she started college, as she had access to the Internet and could always watch the videos. Until she decided to become a content producer herself, recording her life in the countryside and showing, with lightness and good humor, the daily challenges she faces.

One of the reasons that also encouraged Lucélia to become a youtuber was watching the videos on the channel of Glau Silva, a young man from Ceará who shows the difficulties of life on a farm — things that, for a city dweller, may seem simple, like getting water and washing clothes, but which in rural areas are sometimes a challenge. Upon learning about this channel, Lucélia realized that her lifestyle was similar to Glau’s and that she could also become a youtuber.

Before YouTube, Lucélia worked with photos and videos at events for people who lived in her region, but when she started college, she had to put this activity aside and started dedicating herself to studies and videos on YouTube.

The channel ‘Ôxe Minina’, created by her, has almost 700 thousand subscribers with a very fast growth that surprises even Lucélia herself. She guarantees that she did not expect that life on the farm would arouse the interest of so many people. Lucélia believes that success may be linked to a kind of nostalgia for life in the countryside, something that reminds us of many who lived a similar routine to hers or an experience that her parents or grandparents had.

Lucélia says that she even surpassed the expectations of her neighbors, uncles and grandparents, being strong enough to overcome difficulties and become a successful youtuber.

Lucélia wakes up every day (without an alarm clock) at 5:30 am to go to college and only returns at 8 pm, a tiring routine that she manages to reconcile with her life as a youtuber. With so many difficulties on a daily basis, Lucélia still has to face prejudice due to a disability in her legs. She struggles to find a specialist who can provide an accurate diagnosis of the cause of the problem and thus recommend a treatment — her biggest dream these days.🇧🇷

The channel’s visibility opened some doors for the young woman — one of them was contact with professionals who perform physiotherapy sessions to reduce pain in her legs and also to help her reach her ideal weight.

The affection of her followers goes beyond the messages and Lucélia receives gifts from all over the world — even from super distant countries, like Australia and Germany. And she makes a point of sharing these treats with her family members. It is common, for example, for them to appear in their videos tasting (and thanking) delicacies they receive from their followers. Lucélia thanks her followers who encourage her to continue every day, even in the face of some criticism she receives. She carries with her a phrase she heard in the movie Soul Surfer — Courage to Live (about a surfer who loses an arm after a shark attack) that “it doesn’t have to be easy, it just needs to be possible!” So get up and act.
