School makeup: how to get ready for class

For the more vain girls, going to school also requires a certain production, of course, without exaggeration. Many of them do not feel well, for example, leaving the house “with a clean face”. So a frequent question is: can I put on makeup to go to class?

Luciano Alencar, makeup artist at Pierre Louis Coiffeur, points out that girls can apply makeup to go to school, but it must be very light. “The secret of makeup for school is for the girl to be ‘naturally beautiful,’” he says.

The ideal, then, is to leave the look very natural. Makeup should be discreet, quick and easy to retouch. A more elaborate makeup should be for special occasions or to go to the club.

Luciano Alencar explains that make-up for school should be very light for several reasons. “Usually, classes take place in the morning, the girls are still young and many schools don’t approve of over-the-top makeup,” he says.

“I suggest, then, that make-up ‘beautiful, as if I had woken up like this’”, jokes the makeup artist. “You can apply a foundation, a light blush and even mascara and gloss without going over the top. I think using eyeshadow and black pencil looks good over the top and they should be used for an evening event,” he adds.

Bianca Demetrio, 17, says she likes to apply light makeup to go to school. “Even because we go to class very early, with that sleepy face. At least a foundation, a concealer and a gloss I have to put on,” she says.

Another super important tip is not to forget to apply sunscreen on your face before starting your makeup. No matter how much time you spend in the classroom, going to and from school, and also during break times, you will be exposed to the sun’s rays. Choose a product suitable for your skin type (oily, combination or dry) and use it daily. Always remember that skin care should start from an early age!

The ideal makeup for going to school

Makeup artist Luciano Alencar teaches a step-by-step make-up that can, perfectly, be done to go to school:

  • Start with a good foundation that matches your skin tone. “No exaggeration, just to unify the skin”, he says.
  • Then use a good concealer to hide dark circles. “Use clear mascara to comb your eyebrows. It is worth remembering that they must always be up to date”, highlights the makeup artist.
  • Apply a light blush, just to add color to the cheekbones. “No more making that doll face at 7 am”, jokes the makeup artist.
  • A mascara to highlight the eyes is allowed.
  • Opt for pale lipstick shades like nude and pink or gloss. “Leave the red for the night”, highlights the makeup artist.

“With this basic make-up, the girl will be beautiful and natural to rock at school”, concludes makeup artist Luciano Alencar.
