Does receiving anonymous messages with what your friends think about you sound like a good idea? O “Sarahah” came about exactly for that.
Created by Arab Zain al-Abidin Tawfiq, the application has an apparently simple objective. The user can create a profile and send anonymous messages ~with constructive criticism~ to their friends. In the web version, it is not even necessary to register to use the service.
According to the official website, it is able to strengthen friendships, as it is able to let you discover what your strengths are and can still make your friends be honest with you.
At the moment, “Sarahah” is the most popular free app in the Apple Store in Brazil and the United States. It is available for Android, iOS and also in a web version.

However, as the application is very reminiscent of “Secret”, there are many people concerned about this success. Between 2014 and 2015, the app became known for allowing the publication of secrets anonymously and, of course, stimulating the cyberbullying🇧🇷
Thus, repeating the formula, “Sarahah” proves to be “a fertile field for hate”, as someone defined it in an App Store review.
On Twitter, the subject became a fever. While some speculate on the app’s usefulness, others take advantage of the repercussions to joke. Look that!
