Red and brown bring stimulation and warmth to environments

“Red and brown form a stimulating composition due to the predominance of warm colors”, says architect Lilian Ried Miller Barros. Red is also related to blood and fire, a source of strength and energy. The brown, present in the wood, emanates warmth. “Because it is not a pure color, that is, the result of a mixture, brown is less intense, and therefore emphasizes red”, explains Lilian. According to her, the duo goes well in places with a cold climate or in the dining room. “This combination stimulates the appetite and makes people more awake,” she says.

If in decoration the duet’s success is due to balance, in gastronomy harmony comes from opposition. “The acidity of the strawberry versus the sweetness, creaminess and unctuousness of the chocolate causes a sensation of contrast in our mouth”, evaluates São Paulo chef João Belezia.
