OMG! Motorola prepares the return of the V3, the ostentatious cell phone of the 2000s

What were you doing in 2006? Ten years ago, Nelly Furtado it was at the top of the charts with “Promiscuous”, “The Devil Wears Prada” debuted, MSN and Orkut still existed and, well, the Motorola Razr v3 reigned supreme as the industry’s bestseller. Long before the iPhone, which didn’t arrive until mid-2007, ~everybody~ wanted a v3.

Launched in 2004, the cell phone was loved by celebrities, such as david beckham and paris hilton, and it sold like crazy: 130 million units sold, making it the most sold flip device in the world and one of the 10 most popular devices of all time. A success.

Well, riding on the revival of the 2000s, driven by the fashion world, Motorola should really relaunch the v3 and make the device’s orphans happy. To the sound of “The Great Escape”, by the emo band Boys Like Girls, check out the promotional video for the “new” product:

Hit that nostalgia, huh? The (re) launch is scheduled for June 9, the date on which Motorola will present the company’s news for 2016. But, for now, everything is also speculation, since the company has not made any official announcement. Anyway, there is a registration page for those interested in the product.

Recently, Moto, bought by Lenovo, launched two Moto G models, the 4 and the 4 Plus, and announced the arrival of the version called Play for the month of August this year. Fingers crossed!
